At Frey Farms Produce we take great
pride in our Home Grown watermelons. Our sweet, juicy melons are harvested at the peak of perfection to make sure that you and your family will enjoy every bite. Situated between the Wabash and Ohio River Valleys, our Southern Indiana melon farms offer ideal growing conditions for both seeded and seedless watermelon varieties.

On site greenhouse facilities allow our family to oversee the growth and development of our seedlings for several weeks before transplanting begins. Careful management in the early stages of plant growth is a key to healthy and productive watermelon. Our greenhouse staff patiently tends our seedlings to ensure that you’ll be satisfied with the finished product that’s still months to come.

After transplanting the tiny seedlings into well cared for fields we tend to them daily to ensure they have just what they need to become strong, healthy plants. Timely introduction of honey bees from local bee keepers help our melons to pollinate successfully. Precise irrigation ensures that our melons receive the adequate water to keep plants healthy and to minimize the potential for stress-related diseases.

Finally, after several long months of careful crop management, it’s time to harvest. Our families, friends and staff take to the fields to bring home world famous Posey County Melons. They are packed at our Poseyville, Indiana distribution center and sent all across America to be enjoyed by other families.
