<Fall Decorating with Frey Produce Pumpkins>

At Frey Farms we really get into the Fall
season! In mid-spring we plant several thousand acres of Jack O Lanterns, processing pie pumpkins, winter squash, heirloom pumpkins and fall ornamentals. Our carefully selected varieties are direct seeded into soil types most conducive to pumpkin production.

Hand cultivation is a standard growing practice we employ to keep our young plants healthy and stress free. When pumpkin blossoms bloom natures pollinators, wild bees, and local honey bees ensure the successful pollination of our fall pumpkin crop. Natural rainfall encourages well developed fruit during the growing season.

As fields begin to turn from lush green to speckled orange we turn our attention to the fall harvest. Each year the crisp Autumn air reminds us of children laughing with bright eyes at the sight of our colorful pumpkins. The pumpkins are clipped from their vines and placed into field rows where they will be loaded into shipping containers to be distributed across the nation. Families everywhere enjoy Frey Farms pumpkins which come in a variety of shapes and sizes. We grow pumpkins that are perfect for carving, painting, and all forms of Fall decorating!
