At Frey Farms Produce we believe that Bigger IS Better…At least when it comes to our Homegrown Cantaloupes! We specialize in Homegrown Midwestern Cantaloupes, a variety noted for being up to 40% larger than Western varieties. These extra-large, fragrant and flavorful fruits are a sweet summer treat.
 
Cantaloupes grown on our Southern Indiana farms enjoy some very special treatment. They are raised from seedlings in our own on site greenhouses and transplanted by hand into well cared-for soils. When the heat of summer sets in, we begin our cantaloupe harvest. Melons are picked at the peak of perfection when sugar levels are at their highest. Once harvested, the cantaloupes are transported to our packing facility where they are washed and pre-cooled to extend their retail shelf life. 
 
Frey Farms labels are applied to the cantaloupes before packing to let customers know that they are picking up the freshest produce possible. The labels also aid in distinguishing our Homegrown Melons from other varieties.
